History

Tabernacle of Praise began as an endeavor to reach Lindale with the bible message of salvation, hope, and love. With thirteen members present, Rev. David Dumas held the first service at the public library in Lindale on February 12, 2006. From there several other efforts were organized to reach out into the city. Bible studies were conducted and an outreach for children and youth began with the help of all members.

The church purchased property in July of 2006 on the north side of Lindale and through the Church in a Day project, a building was erected and ready for worship on September 21, 2007. People from many different congregations came together from all over to help with the construction of the church. Their labor of love will be appreciated and felt for many years to come. Through those combined efforts Tabernacle of Praise has had a home in which to offer Lindale the ministries so vital to the spiritual well-being of families and individuals.
